Reading works without optional consent. Necessary request processing and security rely on our legitimate interest in operating a safe website. Preferences you explicitly ask us to remember and the record of your privacy choice are used only to provide those choices. General visitor accounts are not open; administrator sign-in uses Cloudflare Access.
Analytics requires consent. Pikseli stores permitted page views, interactions and performance for up to 90 days. Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, measures channels, language, selected municipality, publisher clicks, instruments, search result counts and broad acquisition sources. We do not send search text, precise coordinates or full referring URLs to Google. Google receives browser identifiers, device information and the connection IP address. Advertising features, Google signals, interest learning and personalised advertising remain off.
With the same analytics consent, Cloudflare Web Analytics measures page performance without analytics cookies, and Microsoft Clarity measures clicks, scrolling and masked session replays on public pages. Clarity uses strict text masking; form contents and private/administrator pages are excluded. These services receive public page URLs, browser information and connection IP addresses; pages with free-text query parameters are excluded. Clarity uses _clck and _clsk cookies, with durations up to one year. Microsoft processes Clarity data in the USA under its privacy statement (privacy.microsoft.com/privacystatement). Playback lasts 30 days; heatmaps, click data and sessions marked as favourites or labelled last 9 months. Advertising consent remains denied. TradingView charts and tickers require separate consent. Loading them sends your IP address and browser information to TradingView and its service providers; they may use their own cookies and process information internationally under their privacy policy. Declining leaves source links available. Withdrawing stops future embeds; use your browser controls to remove storage already set by an external provider.
Privacy choices uses the essential tt_choice cookie for up to 180 days; consented analytics uses tt_an for up to 90 days. Requested browser preferences may use tt_preferences for up to 365 days; temporary choices use the session cookie tt_temporary. Remembered hometown uses browser storage until you forget it or clear storage. Google Analytics uses _ga and _ga_VZE5F5B038 cookies for up to 90 days. First-party analytics records last at most 90 days, operational counters 7 days, prepared data exports 1 day, deletion markers 35 days and consent/audit evidence 730 days. Aggregate reports can remain for 395 days. Scheduled cleanup removes expired records. Cloudflare database recovery can retain previous states for up to 7 days; restored data must be checked against later deletions before processing resumes.
Cloudflare hosts the website and database. Database storage is restricted to the EU; network delivery and security can involve global processing, including outside the EEA. Cloudflare’s data processing addendum describes its transfer safeguards, including standard contractual clauses. Google Analytics data is processed separately by Google, potentially outside the EEA, under its privacy policy and data processing terms (policies.google.com/privacy and business.safety.google/adsprocessorterms/). Google is configured to retain event data for 2 months and user data for 14 months, with user retention reset by new activity. Aggregate reports can last longer. Private Google Drive holds source and recovery material; it is not a live analytics destination.
Near you calculates a suggested municipality on the device. The separate location control under Your experience sends coordinates to our server only for a transient municipality calculation; they are not stored or sent to analytics. Both require a deliberate browser permission. Device speech starts only when selected; some voices may process text with your device’s speech provider. Clicking an external link makes a request to that website.
Public Bluesky text, author name/handle, post link, date and reaction counts come from Bluesky’s public API. We use a small attributed sample to help readers discover public discussion, based on our legitimate interest balanced against authors’ privacy and audience choices. Server caching lasts at most five minutes; an already open page may need another refresh. Contact us to object, correct attribution or request removal. Chat remains paused; historical records on the former private service are not erased merely by that pause.
Withdraw consent at any time through Privacy choices; withdrawal does not change the lawfulness of earlier consented processing. Your experience & data exports and deletes records held directly by Pikseli. It does not automatically export or delete Google Analytics or Microsoft Clarity records. Contact us for provider data requests before clearing your analytics cookies. Withdrawal stops future measurement and clears Google and Clarity analytics cookies; it does not itself erase data previously sent to providers. Keep your browser cookies until the request finishes so we can identify your records. You may also request access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability or object to legitimate-interest processing by email. We normally respond within one month and explain any lawful extension. You may complain to Finland’s Data Protection Ombudsman at tietosuoja.fi.
